Have a payment-fee estimate?

Enter your own estimate from the DevEx portal. Zero means no fee was supplied, not that payments are free. Excludes FX costs and taxes.

All results are gross estimates before payment processing, currency conversion, and applicable taxes. Rate selection changes an estimate only; it does not certify Roblox assigns that rate to your balance.

Results concern eligible Earned Robux only and are gross estimates before payment fees, currency conversion, and taxes. They do not certify eligibility or guarantee a payout.

Taking a break from building?

Explore games, offers, and surveys on CashBlox to earn rewards you can redeem for Robux.

CashBlox rewards are separate from Roblox DevEx. Do not assume Robux received through rewards qualifies as Earned Robux.

How to use this calculator

1. Choose a mode. Use Robux to USD for a forward estimate, USD goal to find the required balance, or Mixed balance if your Earned Robux spans multiple rates.

2. Select the applicable rate. Standard applies to eligible earnings from September 5, 2025. Legacy applies to pre-cutoff earnings. The qualified U.S. 18+ rate has additional conditions—see the rate selector for details.

3. Read your gross estimate. The result is USD before payment fees and taxes. If you have a payment-fee estimate from the DevEx portal, enter it in the optional field to see an after-fee value.

How the math works

Forward (Earned Robux → USD)

grossUnits = N × q
USD displayed = floor((grossUnits + 50) / 100) / 100

Where N is whole Earned Robux and q is the rate's integer units (38 for standard, 35 for legacy, 54 for U.S. 18+) per 10,000 USD units. Rounding is half-up for display; exact units are retained throughout.

Reverse (USD goal → Earned Robux needed)

goalUnits = goalCents × 100
requiredRobux = ceil(goalUnits / q)

The result is the smallest whole-Robux balance whose gross estimate equals or exceeds the target. One less would fall short.

Earned Robux vs. account Robux

Your Roblox account balance may include Robux from multiple sources: marketplace earnings, purchased Robux, promotional codes, and rewards from external programmes.

DevEx applies only to eligible Earned Robux— Robux earned through qualifying creator activities such as in-experience purchases by other users. Purchased Robux, gift-card top-ups, and third-party reward Robux are generally not automatically convertible through DevEx. Roblox determines which balances qualify.

This calculator assumes you have entered eligible Earned Robux. It does not deduce eligibility from the number you enter.

Amount threshold

Your Roblox account must hold at least 30,000 eligible Earned Robux to submit a DevEx request. This is an account-balance threshold, not a per-request minimum. The calculator flags it separately; reaching it is one of several requirements.

Other requirements include a verified email, being at least 13 years old (18 in some markets), and having met the minimum lifetime earned amount. Roblox reviews each request. See the official DevEx eligibility documentation for the full list.

Frequently asked questions

What is DevEx?

Developer Exchange (DevEx) is Roblox's programme that lets qualifying creators convert eligible Earned Robux into real-world currency. Creators must meet eligibility requirements and Roblox must approve each request.

What is the standard DevEx rate?

The current standard rate is $0.0038 USD per Earned Robux, effective September 5, 2025, 10:00 AM PT. This applies to eligible earnings from that date onwards unless another rate applies.

Why do legacy balances have a different rate?

Roblox changed the DevEx rate on September 5, 2025. Eligible Earned Robux acquired before that date are treated as a legacy balance at the previous rate of $0.0035 per Robux.

Who qualifies for the higher U.S. 18+ rate?

Qualifying earnings under the U.S. 18+ programme (effective June 8, 2026) may be eligible for $0.0054 per Robux. Conditions concern eligible purchases by age-verified U.S. players aged 18 or older, plus experience and character requirements. The creator's own age or location alone does not establish qualification. See Roblox's documentation for the full conditions.

How much is 100,000 eligible Earned Robux in USD?

At the standard rate, 100,000 Earned Robux = $380.00 gross. At the legacy rate, $350.00. At the qualified U.S. 18+ rate, $540.00. These are gross estimates before payment processing and taxes.

How many Earned Robux correspond to a $1,000 gross goal?

At the standard rate: 263,158 Robux. At the legacy rate: 285,715 Robux. At the qualified U.S. 18+ rate: 185,186 Robux. These are minimums—one less would fall short.

Does reaching 30,000 Earned Robux guarantee approval?

No. The 30,000 Earned Robux amount is a threshold requirement, not an approval. Roblox reviews each application for eligibility, age, account standing, and other conditions. This calculator performs an amount-threshold check only.

Can purchased Robux or CashBlox rewards automatically be DevExed?

No. DevEx concerns qualifying creator earnings. Purchased Robux, gift cards, and third-party rewards are generally not automatically eligible as Earned Robux. Roblox decides which balances qualify.

Should I subtract the 30% Marketplace fee again?

No. If you are entering a balance of Earned Robux that already reflects your net after a Marketplace sale, do not deduct 30% again. The DevEx rate applies to eligible Earned Robux as Roblox has credited it. Use the Robux Tax Calculator separately if you want to estimate what you receive from a sale price.

Does the estimate include payment fees, FX, and taxes?

No. This calculator shows gross USD estimates. Payment processing fees, currency conversion, and applicable taxes are separate. Use the optional fee field to enter your own estimate from the DevEx portal; this tool does not provide or assume any official fee.

Why can my actual payment differ?

The displayed results use documented rates and exact arithmetic. Your actual payment may differ due to partial eligible balances at different rates, payment-processor deductions, currency conversion, withholding taxes, payout timing, or changes to the DevEx programme since these rates were reviewed.

Robux Tax Calculator — If you are starting from a Marketplace sale price, use the Robux Tax Calculator first to find your net Earned Robux, then enter that amount here. Do not chain the tools automatically; not every Marketplace sale qualifies as DevEx-eligible Earned Robux.
